Retake the TOKYO SKYTREE from the 350-meter-class Titan!

A collaboration between TOKYO SKYTREE and Attack on Titan from 4/10 to 7/14 2017.

What is TOKYO SKYTREE in the first place?

TOKYO SKYTREE is a broadcasting, restaurant and observation tower in Sumida, Tokyo, Japan. It is the tallest structure in Japan, and its height is 634 meters (2,080 ft). I hadn’t known that TOKYO SKYTREE is the tallest tower, and the second tallest freestanding structure in the world until I checked TOKYO SKYTREE on the internet to write this article. The construction started on July 14th 2008 and it was completed on February 29th 2012, with the tower opening to the public on May 22nd 2012. Five years have already passed since it opened, but I had never visited there until last Monday! (I have been to TOKYO SORAMACHI, the shopping mall next to the tower, though.)

My first visit was to see the event.

I was not interested in TOKYO SKYTREE, but I’m a fan of Attach on Titan. I thought I wouldn’t end up going there if I missed this opportunity, so I decided to take a day off on Monday and went to TOKYO SKYTREE for my first time. There are two observation floors, 350m and 450m, and we need to buy two tickets for each floor. It costs JPY 2,060 (over eighteen years old), JPY 1,540 (from twelve to seventeen years old), JPY 930 (from six to eleven years old), JPY 620 (4 and 5 years old) for floor 350m. If you would like to go to the upper floor, (450m) you need to buy one more ticket that costs JPY 1,030 (over eighteen years old), JPY 820 (from twelve to seventeen years old), JPY 510 (from six to eleven years old), JPY 310 (4 and 5 years old). I had no choice but to buy two tickets to see the event, but I think only visiting observation floor 350m is fine if you just want to see the view from TOKYO SKYTREE. (I didn’t think there is a big difference between 350m and 450m.)

Special exhibition on Floor 445 ~ 450.

Photo locations and replica anime pictures on display.

Mikasa~! Why you are so strong?

Digital stamp rally on Floor 450, 350, 5F, 1F, B3F and the SKYTREE shop.

Use your smartphone to collect stamps at five spots inside SKYTREE TOWN and get stickers. It is free to join. I really wanted to join this digital stamp rally, but I forgot to bring my charger for smartphone, and my phone was about to die, so I couldn’t do it…Ah, it’s my fault.

Attach on SKYTREE limited edition special merchandise and café menus.

They have a small shop that sells goods related to Attack on titans on floor 450 and the collaborated cafe on floor 340. There are food and drink menus at the cafe, and I tried “Titan soda” and “Levi’s Royal tea with milk”.

The 350-meter-class Titan appeared in my glass?

After I poured soda into my glass…

The titan….didn’t disappear like in the anime, but it just collapsed, lol. It was delicious soda of berries flavor.

The event is on until July 14th 2017. If you are a fan of Attack on Titan, hurry up and go to TOKYO SKYTREE~!
